It's hard to find a good feature involving surfing, but "Beautiful Wave" might have done it. Staring Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights) Ben Milken (Newcastle, movie) Lance Henreksen (Aliens) & Patricia Richardson (Home Improvments), Kev Robertson and crew, the story travels up the California Coast hitting some of the best surf spots. People could use a good coming of age story developed while traveling through one of our country's treasures.
I've posted the first of the pics. I think you'll like them.

NEW YORK -- Patricia Richardson, Aimee Teegarden and Helen Slater will shoot the curl.
The trio are set to star in "Beautiful Wave," a surfing coming-of-age drama that David Mueller is directing from a script he co-wrote with Lynn Salt.
"Wave" centers on a teenager (Teegarden) who goes to live with her grandmother (Richardson) in Santa Cruz, Calif., one summer and discovers the sport of surfing -- and a family secret as well. Stuart Cameron is producing; Teegarden will make her producing debut as associate producer.
The independently financed movie is targeted for the 2010 festival circuit.
Richardson is best known for her role on the series "Home Improvement," Teegarden broke out on "Friday Night Lights" and Slater -- who, like Richardson and Teegarden, is repped by Innovative Artists -- co-starred in a slew of films including "The Secret of My Success" and "City Slickers."
